Im jus curiuos to find out how much more power and efficiency will come out of doing a rebuild......
put in a new cam, ACL pistons, rings, 30tho., extractors and 2 1/4" stright to tip, new bearings
Would this give alot of improvements on stock or just sum???
Thanx
I am currently working on the engine for my V6 conversion. A mate of mine (mechanic) has advised a 60thou overbore which will take the 3.8l to just under 4.0l with ACL trihardened flat top pistons and a new bearing set. That with a port job on the head, a bigger injector system, stainless valve train, new memcal for the ECM and a fat crowcam (which requires a big set of headers and a twin cat system) should push the stock VN motor from its factory 135kw to around 210kw without a supercharger or a turbo. Crikey that is a lot of work. I'm not helping am I. Should crack tho LOL![]()
