Default wont turn off!!!

gday every one yet a nother slight prob
when i go to turn off ma vk it stays on for a few seconds and then conks out
??? ????is this just the engine just doin its last thew turns or wat

Sounds like an ignition switch problem or other electrical fault.

Can you tell if it is Dieseling or if it sounds like it is running properly for a few seconds.

If it is dieseling, then it can often be your fuse connected to your anti-deiseling solonoid on your carby. This is also often connected to the bimetallic strip in the auto choke.
It could also be your timing, cooling system etc etc.

If the engine is actually running normally for a few seconds, then you are probably looking at an ignition problem as stated by the previous poster, as in, the ignition hasn't turned off for some reason.

At first it sounded like the OP was describing it as dieseling but it sounds more complicated than that.

Could be dirty wiring or accelarator getting stuck.
