VK gearing upgrade

The lack of low down power my VK is getting really annoying, i have a 3.08 ratio at the moment..

GU4 - Axle Ratio - Rear 3.08:1

I want 3.9 gears i think (i dont really know much about it, but i know that 3.9 is better for low down)

would i need a full new diff, or a diff center or what?

How much would it roughly cost?

Why dont you just get a diff out of a 6cyl vl??? they are a strong diff and come with 3.45:1 ratio.
you can pick up a diff from a wreckers for about $100

i dont think u loose too much top end with the vl either. have a look at vkberlina's site, its got all the charts with diff types and speeds on it, damn good.
