Extractors certainly change the sound, your car being efi the sound would be intresting to hear.. You would also need to think about the ass end muffler that you would like to use.

To give it the deep sound im not sure, but the above will help in someway,

The cheap way is some holes in the exaust before the mufflers, otherwise look for a straight thru muffler.

alright.. my calais used to sound like a V8 (was an efi 6).. heres what it was running:

    Extractors
2.5" from the cat back, single muffler
    mild cam

gives off a nice V8 rumble.. i loved it.. the cam gives it the V8 burble on idle..

VK EFI 202 all had extractors from factory.
2.5" inch from collectors back sports muffler and a resonator at the rear, work well for Mine.
Many people think mine is an 8

I find that the Genuin VK EFI extractors flow better. There is no sudden bend as soon as the exhaust leaves the head, as EFI manifold gives more room, carbie manifold force the extractors to bend down straight away.

Yeah have to agree, im happy to say my vk efi has a really good sound. lots of people ask me if its an 8 as its heard to distinguish. Im usuing factory GM extractors with a 2.5in straight through, with a small muffler towards the rear to stop 6 Cylinder drone, people also use resonators to extibgush drone, however i feel it takes some of that good black motor sound away, less rumble. I used to come off the freeway drop it back a gear and use the engine to slow down, man did she burble, its a good feeling.

So will my VK have that sound a little bit already due to the stock extractors. Also the stock extractors on the VK EFI's was that just a VK thing or did holden do that on other models too?

Thanks for that, do u think it would cost much and where do u think would be best to get it. Also i have been reading up on pod filters and apparantly they are no good because they take in too much hot air, well wot if u fit it in the air box. also i have been reading the best option is a pannel filter and a pannel wit CAI. Wot is CAI? I thoght it was just the air box but im not sure or is an aftermarket air box?

CAI is a Cold Air Intake..

my last vk came with it all in.. but for an exhaust i recommend 2 places.. been to them both.. both were great.. theres Settlement Rd Exhaust in Thomastown.. and Sunbury Exhaust (I think, he is on Horne st anyway)

Ok thanks for that i will look into that, Thomastown isn't too far and i think i have an away basketball game against Sunbry at Sunbry later in the season so ill have a look then.

So wot do think would be the best option for me get the CAI or just put a pannel filter in the air box or could i do the CAI and the pannel filter?

no middle muffler, just the one at the rear, a mild cam helps with the burble at idle, will always sound like a 6 cyl at revs though.

theres no room for a proper CAI on VK EFI's
unless you drill a hole through the bottom of the airbox and through the guard, but thats defectable..
