    Default Shift Kits

I just want to ask some questions about shift kits. i have a pretty good idea of wot they are and wot they do but i would like to know for sure.

Do they just fix the transmission so its like a tiptronic or does it still follow the automatic principle just has hire gearing?

How much would one cost and would it be a hard modification (would it be possible for an average joe to do it or would it be something that i would need my mechanic do)

I have a VK EFI 202 with the stock 3spd auto in it would there be much difference?

    Thanx everyone

alright.. shiftkit.. leave it to the professionals mate.. and it can still shift like an auto.. you can also manual shift it without causing as much (if at all) damage to trans

just go to a reputable trans specialist n ask them to do it for you..

doesnt change the gearing, will give you a firmer to harsher shift depending on how much oil pressure they dial up inside the trans, a powerful motor in front of a shift kitted trans will chirp tyres into 2nd, will also do it with much less effort if the trans has been fully manualised. get it done by a professional.
Transtec Automatics in Adelaide are good, so is TradeMatics in Geelong, have used and can recommend both.
