Hey there,
Im looking at putting a T56 six speed manual into my Vk.
Has anyone done this or does any one know what sort of problems I may encounter. Im currently an EFI 5L with a T5.
Cheers.
They say the transmission tunnel needs to hammered to fit in a T56.
I tried to google up Mal Wood auto, he is the guru on these gearboxes.
Personally i would get a TremacTKO2 5 speed. Cheaper than a new T56

Mal Wood is definatly the man to talk to, he regularly advertises in street machine.
I heard the same thing about the T56 not fitting in the body of VK's. I know that T5's are similar for their size, would it be the same in this case??

I have never played with a T56 but my T5 fits perfectly in my VK with heaps of room
cheers

No the T5 is a lot smaller than "big brother" T56. When you see a T5 put next to a T56, the T56 is huge.Originally Posted by darkmoon
Also a bit of a waste having a T56 into a VB-VK IMO, specially the silly gear ratios. Like i said above a nice Tremac 5 speed will do the job.
