hello,
my mate has a 186 blue motor that i might be buying off him and it makes a light buzzing sort of sound.
i know that his diff and clutch are worn out because he does burnouts so could that be it?
i'm aski9ng because he said he would give me the motor for $30 as is or $50 with it fixed. so i just wanted to know if he is just trying to rip me off 20 bucks or if i should get him to fix it?
also how hard would itbe to get a vk rego'd with a 186?
it has a stroked 186 in it now (234ci) and it has been rego'd with that motor so if i took it to the pits would they think its the 234 motor?
i'm in canberra btw.

its illegal to put anything older than a black motor in a VK cause of the emissions. your thing says you have a VH vacationer you could put the 186 in that i'd say![]()
Well for starters there was never ever a blue 186. They are only red. Sounds like its been painted blue.

he comes up with a new story every time he posts.
for starters, SL/ENUT is right, theres no such thing as a blue 186... The pits are never going to assume you have a stroked six, and if you can pick up a red 186 / blue 173 whatever it is, is $20 difference much a concern if it has a slight noise that'll only cost him $20 bucks to fix???
