If your car is still stock and factory parts u can get an easy answer.

if it has other mods etc, eg extractors, holley. efi etc well things will change.

There's a topic in this forum somewhere, might have to search for it, has an image with stock commodores fuel eco.

Anyone know how much it would cost to fill up enough to go 160kms in a stock VB with 202 engine?

Not correct goon as cars age they use more petrol. I'll get about 300-360 out of 60l tank hard to tell as the float doesn't work properly. It read only 3/4 full when full and empty with half a tank. But to work and back is 280k's a week plus other driving and a tank lasts a week

Depends on your where your driving if its more highway style i'd say half a tank would be plenty mine's a manaul so i think i get better economy than an auto when i drive normally

Another eg. Extractors might increase your city usage, giving u more eco and may down your highway usage, using more fuel.

Going on a highway, how much $$ of petrol would need to be used? I know I can work it out by dividing a full tank in half but I don't know the fuel economy of a stock red 202.

just a question...what size in litres is a 202?...got a mate with a 202 kingswood who reckons he can drag anything in it...i keep reminding him that my 3.8 is bigger, more efficient and more powerful...i know the last two are true...
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
    PM with any info.

    202 = 3.3

Though maybe the blue 202's would have better fuel eco then a red 202? black would have the best eco?

that seems alright, is that mainly country driving or city as well? if thats some city included that seems quite reasonable anyway, or even if its driving through heaps of hills but for straight highway driving it seems a little much

was driving 2day almost empty and just realised i'd done almost 480 k's and i havent taken this tank slowly either, i didnt have enough money 2 fill it so i dont no exactly how many L's it used, but all city driving and putting foot down a fair bit on the tank i think that seems alright?

I used to get anywhere from 350 - 750km to a 83L tank of 98 octane ULP when my car had the hot 202 in it.driving it flat out it would scull the fuel down, on a trip of highway driving I would do around 750 to a tank.

    cheers
    Scott

the average for the torana (EFI 202 and 5 speed) is about 12-13l/100km's ... thats about half city and half cruising, as my partner does that everyday for work.

as vk berlina said though, if you give it heaps of shit it chews the fuel, thats a worked motor for you but i wouldn't have it any other way.

over half of my last tank has gone on a cruise on saturday, no taking it easy, foot down most of the time, a couple with less traction at the wheels and a car full of people, dragged of a manual vl and won also with 4 people in it where i had 5

and still i got 450 k's before it went into the red zone, its on about 470 now and getting pretty low, i seriously need 2 take a tank easy and see wot i get

fark im probably as economical as a v6
