    Default Installing a footrest...

    Hello all,

Just wondering - is it possible to install a footrest into a VK without too much hassle (where it didn't come with one standard)? It's something I've been meaning to look into for a while as going from my VN (with footrest) to the VK (no footrest) is well, annoying.

I was hoping to pick up one from the wreckers for a few bucks and just sort of chuck it in...

    Cheers.

    Kurt

i cant imagine it would be hard to do... just wonuting it would be the problem... i dont think any vb-vk came with a footrest.....

probably best off buying one out of another type of car that would fit best into a vk.....

should also be able to screw it right down through the floor yeah?

Mine doesnt have a foot rest its an auto VC, something from a VN would be easy as long as u can figure out a way to hold it there.

Really? I thought the SL/Es and Calais had footrests? Grabbing one from a VN @ the wreckers was going to be the plan. Problem is I don't have a drill at the moment to make hole... hmm the idea may have to be put off a bit until i can get a drill and also to at least see how Holden attached it in the VN to follow suit in my VK.

THe carpet would have to be pulled aside too - is the stuff glued down? This already sounds more complex than it should be...

the footrest was an option, you can find them at the wreckers, they are a simple bolt-in from memory
