    Default body work

ok guys i have the hot house vh and i want to get her straightened out coz lookin at all the cars on here is makin me jealous.

so i have a bit of a crumpled drivers fender (thanks to previous owner) so will it be easier to just replace it all together or should i try to have it fixed.

second is my lower front skirt thats crap to say the least can it be replaced or fixed should i change it or keep it and just get it fixed?

and there are some scratched from where the front bumper was taken off that look quite deep what can be done with them?

and there is a minor dent on the right c pillar its decent sized but only shallow bog or can it be pulled?

i posted some pics and help will be great guys cheers

If you want a perfect job u could try the panel beaters.

Pulling it will make the area weaker.. Simple fix but.

You could bog over & again to create shape but then you wil need to repaint.

You could try primer on that bottme left hand front corner where its been scrathed.

I've done bodywork to my ride on my site if u want to take alook.

The front apron can be cleaned up with a hammer & dolly, a bit of fine bog prime & paint, looks like its hit something not from the front bar and the centre piece is bent as well.

The front car would push out pretty well and again need some fine bog to smooth it out. The C Pillar I would look at using an esy beat on and would pull out nicely. Again would need a little bog to smooth it over

    cheers

well i intend on gettin the whole thing shot in hot house and a clear again.

the first owner did all the work calais interior paint with no clear coat....wanker zaust rims suspension etc.. my cuz bought it ran it up a gutter accidently freshly on his p's and in the wet. so he put 3k worth of suspension into it and fixed the minor things like the holly that was on it came off big dp its only a 173 first guy wasnt to smart. but my cuz only put a varajet on.

so ill take it to a crash shop near me and get them to straighten out the front skirt and fender and just fill the c piller with bog and smooth back and shoot it again with green.

how does this sound any other sujestions body wise or crash shop wise

    cheers

A cheaper option, for the front fender would be to hunt round some wreckers and find a dead straight one. Then all you have to is grind the welds out and remove the old one, and then tack-weld the new one on. It's a simple job, I've even done it myself!

You've been lucky! 2 I've seen have had tack welds as well holding them on. Is what's still not quite perfect fixable with a little bit of bog or something?!

Any automotive paint supplier will have it. They'll just look it up, and mix it right there and then for you. Well most places will anyway....

It's not a custom variation of the colour is it? Is it just the standard Holden Hot House Green?

Well, if it's a standard colour, just go into the place, and tell them that you want x amount of litres in Hot House Green. They should have a book with all colours in it, listed by make of vehicle. That will then have a code next to it, which they put into their database, and that tells them how many parts of what colour are required to make it!

Good luck with it all, and post pics of the results!

Sounds good, the only thing is, you can get away with 2-3 coats, but i'd be doing 4 just to be sure. Sometimes that extra coat can make a big difference to the end result! Are you doing the painting yourself?

One other thought for the C pillar, contact a paintless dent guy and see how much they can pop out for you.

    cheers
