    Default cigeret lighter

    hi i have a vh commodore straight six 5speed factory manual

    and i noticed my cigerete lighter is not connected and the plug is no where to be found!?!?!?!

    is it possable to make your own and wire it up to the batter or sumthing?

    just grab one from a wreckers and install that - should only be a couple of bucks

    usually there's one earth wire and one constant power and if it has a light it goes to accessories power. use the wires from your stereo if its easier to get to for all of em. black wire earth ( could connect/wire to the same earth wire as stereo if you can get to it ), red wire to constant power ( same deal, use the stereo's constant power, generally yellow ) and for the light the same again, connect/wire to stereos acc wire, usually red. hope that helps

    You need a fuse to don't forget!

    If you’re old one doesn’t work try replacing it, there like in capsules type casings inside the interior dash.

    Any fuse eg. 10amp or 15amp fuse, for 12v as long as it fits eg. the right shape..

    Its an easy job mate well doing it this way is, its not that hard at all.

    -----Red wire----> Fuse < ------- Red wire ----->12v Source
    -------->Negative --- Will all know this one---->Earth Source

    If ya wanna run them on switches with a diff wiring setup mate "without the cig needed" just PM me and ill give u the tips!

    a lot of the time the cigarette wires were snipped for acc feed for the new sterio...they will probably be around that area
