yeah i was thinking about doin up my motor, im gonna be stuck with the 6 for afew years now that i cant get an exhemption. i have a fair bit of money to spend and i was thinking about buyin a yella terra head for it. my brother said all it is is a head with bigger valves and that its port and polished. my motor currently has the following done: 2.5" exhaust all the way thru, port n polished, it has a merc coil, lol (it gained power wen we put it on) its got the pod K & N filter, but i was thinking of doing something like this, tell me if this idea is any good. i want to put my standard airbox back in with no airfilter inside. my brothers frend "mics motorsport" do custom piping and i was thinking of getting a cold air intake pipe made to fit into the airbox (which already has a hole thats oval shaped for cold air intake). then at the end of the custom pipe, putting a K & N air filter which is always exposed to fresh air. i thought water would be a problem but would the water be able to make it up the pipe into the airbox ? any suggestions ? anything would be appreciated
Cheers, Robbie
If you've had work done to your head I wouldn't bother with the YT (they're bloody hard to come by anyway).
Why the airbox with (what I assume is) a pod? Why not just remove the airbox from the equation altogether? It'll still cop you a defect regardless![]()
Not true pods are legal if inclosed in an airbox. The standard airbox has a good cold air setup and is probably good enough for a 202. I don't get people's obsession with pods, they're shit if they're sitting in the engine bay exposed to indirect heat. just get a k&n panel filter for the standard air and it'll be better than any pod filter. Don't run a motor without a filter it'll swallow too much dirt and that's not good for a motor

how longs a bit of string...
