Genie HQ style with the 2 1/4" collector to 2" system for a 202 worked nice for me, going the proper 2 1/4" right through wouldve been better though.

for a 308, I'd go Pacemaker big bore (have some in a VK and they sound tough).

sorry, i should have said its a 253.

i can get the genies really cheap, and ive been told that they are pretty much identical to the pacemakers......

    can anyone confirm this?

what i was told is, that in terms of extractors.... HM are number 1, then pacers then genie, but i dont know how all the different types of extractors can be so different..... but somehow price varies so much.,,,,,

    cheers

am i correct in stating that the only difference in the paceys and the genies are that the paceys have an output of 2.25, and the the genies 2.5? but both have input of 1 5/8?

    or do they vary?
    cheers

the standard pacies on a 253 will go hard for sure, if you can get genies cheap do it, i'm sure for street use they are much of a muchness anyway for teh advantage they give, you might notice differences in them for competition use. ring up pacemaker in adelaide, ive spoken to them a few times and they are most helpful knowledgeable and friendly.

    good luck

I'd say about 250 - 400 from what ive seen on ebay.

The extractors on my ride, i wouldnt know it brand, was cheap from the wreckers for 80 dollars, i cleaned them up and installed them myself

if they dont sell them from the head office, they can put you onto a local distributor who'll stock them... there's a few places in adelaide you can pick them up...

RE buying direct from Pacemaker, I asked that question early on, you have to go through one of the people that they supply (however you might be able to order direct from them if you have an ABN though, its worth a shot, the worst they will say is no). If you can get genies cheap do it, like I said there's ****all difference on the street, if your running a full on competition motor ie a commodore cup spec 253 then I'd be more selective i guess. Pacemaker told me to stick with the smaller primaries esp for a 253 but also for a 308 as you'll lose some low down torque with the big primaries but gain some top end, depends what youre trying to achieve.

Ive had both HM and paceys on my 308, the extractors themselves dont have much difference in sound, its the rest of the exhaust is where they can give your car a certain note.
