Hey mate,
I'm in the middle of changing the interior on mine. There are a couple of brands out there that make vinyl and plastic paint. The ones I'm using are by motorspray and K+H, both work beautifully, just be sure to give the parts your painting a good clean with meths or something to clean off any dust or crap and to remove armorall or other protectants, and all will be peachy!
UHT vinyl spray/dye...
No wah to that!
Never late with ROB308...
I would strongly recommend UHT spray dyes. Whatever you do, do not use Septone vinyl dye, as they run and are generally crap.

I find uht dyes are good and alot of other vinyl paints just make sure it is cleaned off well and truly and that you dont just use normal paint as it will crack and peel within months.
as far as i know armourguard is safe to use still id say to use it in a space where it isnt seen very much at first just to make sure but shouldnt be a problem.
Here's some pics of PEAKN6, Brad painted it up last week.
I think he used the UHT stuff, didn't turn out to bad.

nice choice of colour on that VK dash... a new steering wheel and painted steering column and it'll look killa...
No wah to that!

Yeah I chose that colourHe originally was just gonna do his new door pods, and he was gonna do them black. But I suggested the creamish colour (the one in the pics) coz black sorta looked cheap, and coz the cream colour was similar to the door skins. So he got it then painted the door pods.....then I said to him he should try painting the dashboard. The next time I saw it the dashboard was all pulled to bits and he was painting all the bits up lol. But yeah, i rekon it looks pretty nice.
The steering column got done the other day, and he's saving up for a sports steering wheel to go on
When I finish rebulding and putting my motor back into my VH, I'm gonna buy some of the paint and get him to do mine aswell haha.

good work... its close to the door trims, but going over them wouldnt hurt... just a suggestion, but yeah...

that cream colour is awesome.. i was originally going to do my dash black.. but now that ive seen that ive changed my mind
if you dont mind whats that colour called?
It's called 'Buckskin Tan Satin', and it's made by 'VHT', part number 'SP-944'. My bro got them from Repco, they normally cost about $18-$20 a can, but as my bro works there he got them for about $8 a can. I think he only used roughly 2 cans on the the dashboard. It might also be a good idea to buy some clear aswell, just for extra protection![]()

i tried that on a spare set of trims and it looked farkin ugly coz i put a clear on so it wouldnt rub off. i like the pic of the pod, best one ill ever have coz all the paint farkin rubbed off so i repainted the the other day and put the clear on so it should be a lil more protected.
i couldnt get the propper clear (not even sure if they do it) coz i was in a hurry to do it, so i looked in the paint cabnet and spotted some 1200*f proof clear so i thought it couldnt hurt to try it. and im tellin ya i havnt spotted a chip missing on the dash yet where as the door pods looked like rat sh!t. but all looks good now part from the door skin which ill change within the next few days. im now also painting up a high rise console so it should look good once if done that.
what ever you spray it with make sure you plastic prime ur dash, get a 2k solid and throw matting bace in 50% to ur mix
good job there peakn6
Beware Of Imitations - Not The Latest Thing, But The Genuine Thing
VHT, but yes - I agree totally. Used it on mine!
Scratches reasonably easy - but how often would it be likely to be scratched? I've only ever knocked mine with tools. Just use primer and you should be right.
If you ever do your window winders, make sure you clear coat them
It also works well (you waste a lot though) on the pinchweld covers.
