Default lsd diff and disk brakes for my vk

Hey every body i have an EFI VK. I would like to know what would be the best way to go about converting my car to lsd and at the same time replace the rear drum brakes with disk brakes?

I would like to know if it is possible to get the whole lot and just swap it over or is it easier to get them seperate. Also what type of lsd diff would be best to get and what type of disk brakes would be best?

And what cost would i roughly be looking at and is it worth it? Where would be the best place to look for these things?

    Thanx

You could look around and see if someone has a V8 Calais they are wrecking as it has a LSD and disc brakes. Maybe check out ebay. Get the whole axle complete with diff and brakes with calipers. Look at the Salisbury 10 bolt. I have one on my Calais. You shouldn't need to pay more than a few hundred. Not exactly sure how much they would go for, but ebay has various parts like this. Just make sure you are getting what you paid for. The diff assembly out of a V8 should bolt up fine. You might need to replace some bushings before putting it in.

Yea or you could just get a vlt diff.....but they are going for crazy prices now. They'l bolt straight in and have the 3.45:1 ratio.

Disc brakes are an easy conversion - as Slim said you can just find a Calais and swap the diff over.

I did mine (with a stock 3.23 single spinner) - with two guys and no previous experience in diff removal, to swap the diff took the better part of a day.

I'd recommend getting your bushes done while it's out though - I didn't and I'm regretting it three months later now that at least one has let go
