Hey All
Is the retainer screw meant to have a hole? on its side in the indint place for a scerwdriver. My screw is only plastic... I push the pump and notice fuel coming out of the retainer screw hole, but it may lead to the jet or something when it shoots out?
Thanks.
[EDIT] This screw is located under the top half of the carby.

Wanted B Cast Heads PM for details
The top half of the carby off, top piece.
Float camber, and pump rod, right of the pump rod about 10 -15 cm is the retainer screw, it's meant to have a bearing under it, which i was trying to install from the carby-kit..
I push on the pump rod and a notice fuel squirt out of the hole on the retainer screw, which i must of made while trying to remove it.
Thanks.
take a photo dude, it makes it easier to figure out what you're on about...
No wah to that!

Here's a pic, its no my real carby as i need my car to still go for emergencys..
She runs but if i come to a complete stop under 20k, shes chokes on this extra fuel comig out from the retainer screw.

That's what i thought...
But my timings right, so its not that, same for air and mixtres, shes all good apart from this commplete stop, if i can slow down easy without using brakes she wont do it, but if i have to...under 20k
I'm sure my float is set right , does it have to be flat with the bowl? the float itself, the arm doesnt look like it has been bent to 6.8 before, would it be an idea to try that out ? What should i use to bend the arm it with?
How muh fuel should be in the bowl if i take the carby top off?
I just wanna get the job done right this time, spent last 2 days in the hot sun with her plus a day of roadtest
[EDIT] I'll work on this float and see how things work out![]()

Well the carby! that went back togthere the 2nd time aroundi replaced the valve in the float bowl and used my GM float needle instead of the one giving to me in the kit that was in it before..
Did a minor tune up and set the choke again and shes working great.
No issues so far![]()
