Hi there,
I am trying to find metallised gasket paper for making your own gaskets to suit exhaust flanges etc. I found this site http://www.gimmecarparts.com.au/sear...ategory=TP1144 I think it's a sponsor of JC.
Could anyone please make sense of these products:
Gasket Material ACL BLANK SHEET EXTRACTOR 1.5x305x
&
Gasket Material ACL BLANK SHEET EXTRACTOR 1.5x750x
Is this the stuff I want? What does 305x and 750x mean?
Cheers,
Craig.

305x=305mm. This one here would be for Holden V8 extractor gaskets.
750x=750mm. This here is for the old Holden inline 6 banger extractor gaskets.
The 1.5 would be out thick they are, about the standard

So the term 'extractor gasket' means the metal type ones and not the paper only ones?
Well i'm sure they can come in both.

I have got an order in at Autobarn. $12 for a 750x125 sheet. I hope the extractor gasket they are selling me is the metal type. If not, I will need to use it anyway I guess.
Autobarn stuffed up and now I have an order through Burson. I was going to order the gasket sheet through Gimme car parts and they want $10.45 postage! Get real. I can get it for $9 cheaper at Burson.
Go to your local muffler shop & they will give you as much as you need cheap as they buy it in bulk.
I think I am going to get better flanges and proper gaskets.
This gasket paper is damn hard to cut and I have screwed it up bad. I need a laser cutting machine.![]()
