    Default Sanden TRS090 on a VB-VK

    Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone was familiar with the Sanden TRS090 scroll compressor.
It is the R134a replacement compressor for a VB-VK commodore.

If anyone is familiar with it I was just wondering if the round disk on the top of the compressor that the compressor clutch wire goes through is a superheat switch or not.
Also, if the round port on the rear of the compressor is a High side service port or something else.

    Thanks guys

yes it is a heat switch. and are you talking about a bit about a centermeter long and threaded with a valve in it than it can be a charging port or a addaptor for a high pressure switch.

    Thanks a lot mate.

Don't worry about the other thing because I called Jayair and they said that new R134a compressors don't come with service ports and the thing on the back of the compressor is a pressure release switch.

I have had to add service ports in the suction hose and the liquid line.

Also, while I have you, if you don't mind, do you know a good method to flush all the old oil out of the condensor, evaporator and liquid line.
The reason I ask is because my old compressor failed and contaminated the whole system with compressor oil mixed with fine metal particles. It looks like a silver metallic paint it was that serious. So it has to be pretty clean.

    Thanks again.

Blow it out with nitrogen then vac it down before you recharge it, repeat if you feel it's necessary, should do ok.
Beau Duke: Man, I'm never gonna get outta this car again. I'm gonna live in it, I'm gonna eat in it and I'm gonna make sweet love to it!
Luke Duke: You mean you're gonna make sweet love IN it.
Beau Duke: Oh no, I'm gonna have sex with it.
