check and replace the tube would be the first step and make sure it hasnt been kinked shut or anything, failing that look for any obstructions in the back of the gauge, if theres nothing obvious and it still doesnt work then its a trip to the wreckers...

You believe is correct. I happen to take a vacuum gauge out in my VC, put in a tacho.
I agree what Cane_It has said.

Hey, i thought while on topic id ask a question....

my vacume gauge as in the gauge next to the speedo on mine is backwards, as when i excellerate the needle heads towards economy, and when my foots off the excellerator it heads towards power???

if anyone has seen this before or even had the problem can u let me know on how this is fixed?

    thanks!

That sounds like a vacuum leak.

I havent got mine to go to power before mate, only on a real shiat idle..

Your gauge sounds off, or something isnt working right.

My vaccum line for that gauge on my ride comes from the right hand side manifold valve into the wall behind my dash area, just a tip.

There isn't a wire or fuse for the vac eco gauge at all. The hose should be a real tight fit on the gauge and on the vacuum tree on the manifold,

    I agree with Damien,

If it looks fine at the dash it could maybe have come loose on the manifold, or you possibly have blown the gasket on the manifold (this would cause the reading to not work due to lack of pressure wouldn't it?)

pull the hose off and start ya car and see if it is sucking (it will be really strong so don't put ya finger on the end of it lol) and if its working fine then get one of your big mates (or a hooker lol ) over and tell him to suck on the end of it and see if its working.
