Hi guys,
Occasionally when cornering at lower speeds I hear a loud high pitched squeel coming from somewhere.
It does sound like brakes but it is pretty loud and I am not touching the brake pedal at all when it happens.
Any ideas
Thanks
It's your tyres. Pump them up to 32-34 PSI.
and get a wheel alignment
You need to be a little more descriptive of your problem,
Is the sound coming from the front of the car or the back, loaded or unloaded side?
Does it do it at higher speeds?
As slim said could be rubber, or it could also be a power steering belt come loose.
cheers
Scott

I drove around a few corners years ago with my mate in it and he swore that i was driving too fast! I went and pumped the tyres up and drove even faster around corners and I said to him 'do you hear it now?' he is like no and I told him that the tyres needed air.![]()
This is at very low speeds. Something like 5km/h.
It is coming from the front.
It doesn't sound like a slipping pwr steering belt, I had that a few months back and this a totally different sound.
It sounds like disc brakes when someone is coming to a stop. That high pitched squeel only it is very loud, it only happens when turning, it wasn't there before and I am not touching the brakes.
