I am about to purchase a VK 202 efi for my VH. But I am wondering about the ECU computer and wiring loom. Will I need to modify anything or change anything? Or will it simply just bolt in? Are there any other things that I will need to buy etc...
Any answers would be grate....
If u buy the whole EFI motor that will have most of the gear on it. But you'll also need the wiring loom, computer, air box, AFM just to name a few things. Also, not sure what goes on about the return fuel line, but you'll need one of those as well. Also an electric fuel pump, fuel regulator. Can't think of anything else on hand.

The efi vk motor runs a vh style distributor...basically a step back from the carby black six with est ...the ecm just runs the fuel injection .
A far more feasible conversion is the v6 fit into your car.
I have the same idea.I have recently inhereted my old vh back from my
father and it is very slow compared to a modern v6 commy...
I am in the throws of putting in a v6 from a vn/p...it seems far more beneficial to go this way instead of playing around with basically an injected form of the old slow straight 6.The actual installation is straight forward...just the bits to the speedo/tailshaft/crossmember that has a question mark on it.

yeah sure the v6 is a more powerful/modern/economical setup, but theres a fair difference in price for the v6 compared to vk efi motor ....
its also not hard to work a holden 6 to make similar power to the v6.

its a bit of a article i wrote to help people with efi conversions mainly into old holdens, but most of it will be relevant and should answer alot of your questions.
