I am currently putting together a V6 (VR) engine. Forcast output will be around 200 to 220kw.
I am fitting this into a VL body. (Sorry if you think that I should be in the VL threads but I know that there are a few in here that have put cars together).
I was wondering if any of you have advise on a transmission that is not only strong enough but have the right gear ratio to get the most out of the V6 and last but not least affordable.
Thinking of 3.08:1 or 3.7:1 diff gears
Any help would be appreciated.

if the TH700 fits use it, you'll have the overdrive for some kind of fuel ecomony with those gears in the back, theyre strong boxes and you'll still have fun off the lights with 3 gears before overdrive...
I wish i had've done that with my 5L. but ive got a tri pattern block and a tri behind it and 3.08 gears... if i had my chance again i would do what ive suggetsed above, a friend did this with a WB ute and loves it.
