Where is the VIN?

I have a VH wagon that my husband recently bought and the rego guys can't find a VIN, anyone know where it is located??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check passenger side on top of the strut mount if the cars been painted it can be hard to see

The rego guy even scraped the paint back and still cant find it... bummer

Just wondering is the VIN only on the front end of the car? or could it be hiding elsewhere? We are starting to think its been in a prang... Thanks a heap for your reply.

Cheek the Rad support pannel its sometimes there under the plastic thingy or around there somewhere

since 'VIN' numbers didnt come out til VN I assume you mean the colour coded ID tag which will be on the radiator support, but if car has been in front end prang then its usually gone.

Ahh vin numbers are also known as chassis numbers and my vl and vk both have recorded VIN numbers ('85 & '87)

My VB had the number under the left headlight. Remove light and have a look..
