gday
ive been thinking about putting vs leather calais seats into a vk, has anyone done this. if so how difficult is it. is an engineers report required? also do u think the leather seats will go with the blue dash n door trims? im not to sure
thanks
Not to sure on the technical or legal side of things, but it can be done. I imagine the rails would have to be changed, and maybe positioned differently. I've seen a full VS interior in a FC ute. So it's definately possible.

Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
God must love stupid people, He made so many.
Front fit backs dont and would need to be cut down/modified or the trim transfered to a VB-VL rear seat & be rebolstered at well.
As for fitting the front seats you will need an extra set of seat rails from say a VR/VS or you could use an 85 model VK passengers side seat rails.
take the outside rail from the passengers side seat and replace the inside rail on the drivers side seat. then fit the 85 model VK seat rails tot he passengers side seat. Or take the outside rails from another set of VR/VS seats and fit tot he passengers side.
As for engineers, NO in NSW one would not be required.
As for the dash, paint it what ever colour you want, you can get your crash pad reskined where they replace the foam and then put a new vynal skin over it the same as the original.
