Default Tuning LPG on a VK

    G'Day All,

I have a VK Berlina fitted with LPG. OMVL regulator.

Does anyone have documentation on the regulator? The engine will not idle on gas until it is warmed up (Usually after I have driven about 5 K)

I live in the bush and it's not that easy to get to an Autogas guy, so I want to do a quick tweak. I need to know the function of the two screws on the side of the regulator and how to set them.

When you say regulator, do you mean the mixer? The mixer sits on the carby where the air filter is and the regulator/converter sits close by and has hoses coming off it.

Default Tuning LPG on a VK

    G'Day CraigVK,

I mean the regulator. The round unit, bolted to the inside of the mudguard on my VK, with Gas in from the tank and out to the mixer. Two hoses from the engine cooling system to plumb hot coolant to stop it from freezing.

Your converter sounds like a more advanced type compared to the two that I have played with. One I have has a pressure test input and the other doesn't. Have you got a picture of it? To me the converter isn't anything complecated and the mixer is where adjustments are made.

hey mate i would just take it to a proper gas guy or a performance efi specialist as my afm died last week when i had taken it to 1 got the part from the wreckers$75 (cause it was blowing black smoke when running on petrol) anyway only charged me & $80 tuned it up, fixed a manifold leak, put & tuned the afm=air flow meter i had left it there 4 a day at least! but he had least spent 2 hours on it, plus the hav the computer to tell them the readings aswell plus if u dick around with it urself u hav a chance it could blow up on u.....bi bi
just my opinion get a professional don't mess around with it anless u no wat ur doin + hav the right equipment, it would'nt cost mush & they'll be able to tell u if anything else is playing up!
    cheers chris
