To use VN onwards front seats, you need to change the seat rails, use the later 85 VK ones, bolt in. This is fine for VL-VS front buckets. VT onwards seats isn't so easy to put into a VC.

So if you have the series 2 vk rails you can just unbolt and bolt up the new ones? Thank god I have a series 2 vk then![]()
i no its a bit differnt but i installed VT seats in my vk using VN seat rails
workd a treat
If you want to install VT+ electric seat and keep the existing rail this can be done by adapter rails which bolt to the floor then the seat bolts to them.
Im selling a set as a matter of fact

If VL-VS front seats will fit an 85 VK, but they wont fit in a VH without modification, would that mean VH seats wouldn't fit in the 85 VK? Coz in PEAKN6 (85.....well 86 on the complience plates) the 2 front seats are VH.....we pulled them out of a VH and put them in.

i think what they mean is use vk rails to vn seats.in other words my old vk seats would not bolt up to the vh rails, am i right?
the 85 VK seats will fit into a VH even a VB. What the difference is, with VB-VK 84 models is the leaver that you pull up to move the seat foward, its only on one side, the later 85 VK ones use a full bar. I think i might need a pic to explain it better.
Oh and there never was a series II VK. It just uses upgraded parts, thats it.
