Airbags in a VK?
Just had an idea, it seems to me that the VK isn't a very safe car compared to these modern cars. Would it be possible to get say a VS or similar with a drivers side airbag and fit it in? Crazy idea I know

Pretty sure the airbags in VR onwards won't work into a Vk due to the different electrics through the whole car. I think its worked by the BCM, Body Control Module and the airbag sensor. I don't think the standard VK electrics would handle it at all.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!

Anything is possible but it would probably be cheaper & easier to buy a newer car.
Alot of research & testing goes into fitting & mounting the airbags. Sensors need to be installed throughout the car, BMC and wiring would need to be connected up. Interior trim would need to be modified to suit the airbags.

what happens when peopel put a vs dash in the vb-v? they have an airbag in the pass side above the glove box.
