Can anyone tell me what fuel I should use for a late '85 VK Vacationer Sedan 6cyl?
Cars built before 1986 came out to be used with leaded fuel.
Is your motor original like no reconditioning or anything?
If so, unleaded fuel WITH a lead replacement additive. The additive is available from Autobarn, Supercheap or Repco. I think it's called Nulon valve saver or something. Buy the larger bottle to save money. Or buy the lead replacement from the servo. I can't find any place around here that sells it anymore.
Or if your car is on LPG, you can use any fuel you like![]()
Put the required amount from the additive bottle into the tank and then fill her up. Read the directions on the bottle.![]()
Flashlube (Get it from Repco) have a DIY kit which u install in ur engine bay somewhere...its like a bottle which u chuck the valve saver fluid in, and a line which u basically connect up to a vacuum line on ur intake (they advise u drill a hole in ur intake), and the vacuum sucks the shit in. You adjust a knob on the bottle how much should be let in, just gotta set it when u install in. Brad did it to PEAKN6 a few weeks ago.
