i was wondering if i can use the diff, or at least the diff gears, out of a R31 nissan skyline? i have one at home with 3.9s in it, and would love yo be able to use it....

If ya have a borg warner diff u can. If not, chuck a VL diff in and the skyline centre will work fine.

i think i have the sals diff...
its a 1982 VH, non LSD....

i guess i cant use anything from it then?

yeah the skyline one will be a borg warner. if the vh diff is also then it will be fine. i think the diff is a borg one in the VH so in theory you should have no dramas, but remember you need to set the backlash and all that crap

If u have a 253 youd have an 8 bolt salisbury, or if its a 308 youd have a 10 bolt. You can either get a borg warner diff from a VL, or also the VK EFI's came out with them as well.

I agree with VH Pirie on that its an 8 bolt diff. But to get a B/W diff, yes a VL has them, also all mid 85 VKs has them as well.

Do all skylines have Lsd diffs? or just the r31 skylines?
