    Default Nolathane gear

Have found a few commy's which a mate said I could have. All have been mostly stripped out but one has the Nolathane tops on top of the struts, They seem like they've been out in the weather a while (the commy has no bonnet and is sitting out in the middle of paddock), so just wondering how long the Nolathane gear lasts for, anyone know? Would it be worth bolting them to the top of my struts?

He also has a VK 5.0L 5spd, but he sad I can't have that one haha....might see if he'll sell it!

    Cheers,
    Danny

As long as they havent discoloured, perished, or sagged that should be just fine.

    Get the VK Injection conversion

    cheers

cheers mate! I think they might have been starting to perish a little, but not 100% sure. As the guy said we could have all the commy bodies, we might pick one up at a time, then go past our place and stop to get the bts we want off, then drop it off to the scrap yard and get a few dollars for them. There's not much left of them so we weren't gonna worry bout it, but a mate has a wrecking yard sort of deal, where he buys car bodies and scrap metal, and he sad he'll give me some money for them all, even if its just a body left. Will have to ask the guy who's giving them to us first tho, coz he was just gonna dump them, but I might just make sure he doesn't mind us picking off the good bits then getting a few dollars for them from the scrap man.

Somehow I don't think he'll sell us the 5.0L VK, and even if he did we wouldn't be able to afford the injection conversion, so would stay as it is for now :P

They look very dull. They look like they might crumble short term. If they don't have some good flex in them, be suss because your gear might be wandering all over the place.

I got quoted $195 from Autobarn spares and $150 off ebay. Non urethane ones would be 20-40 cheaper I suppose but there isn't a major difference in price. I have bought lots of Nolathane stuff and it's only about 20% dearer than the ordinary rubbers.

Got Brad [PEAKN6] to do some ringing around for me 2day, and the cheapest here in Pirie is Repco, and I've put a set of Nolathane adjustables on lay-by. Was about $76 for standard Nolathane strut mounts, and $113 for the adjustables...but that's staff discount coz he works there.

At least now I know they'll be decent ones lol.

Thx heaps for the help guys!

Haha nah I'd prolly get in trouble mate. My bro is only allowed to give staff discount to his immediate family.....which I'm a part of haha.

Oneday his mate came in and bought a sh!tload of neons, he gave him staff discount on them. The next day his mate returned one coz it was red instead of blue, one of the other workers found out and told the boss, the boss didn't really care but the worker was basically in his ear about it and made the boss discipline my bro haha. So he got a holiday for a weekend haha.

Just picked up my adjustables today and on the invoice it says they retail for $222.99. I got them for $113, so that means I saved $109.99...damn, that's wicked!!

I bought a performance clutch kit a few months back, retailed for about $330, got it for about $150, so I got a fair chunk of that as well. Haven't used the clutch yet tho, can't wait to get everything back together so I can go for a cruise!

I know yous know wat the strut mounts look like, but I put a pic of them on my site as I like to update it as much as I can, so I may as well chuck the pic up here as well for anyone who's interested haha.
