vk v8 wiring

iv got a 6 cylinder carbie vk. iv swapped the engine to a 308 but the v8s under bonnett wiring harness doesnt plug into the 6 cylinder loom where it comes thru the fire wall since they are both male couplings. has anyone else experienced this problem and how did they rectify it?

It its the main engine harness up near the brake booster the car _should_ have a female plug and the engine harness have a male. If not you can simply remove each pin of the cars engine harness one at a time cut the pin and solder a replacement pin from your 6cyl harness onto it. Then insert it into the plug.

no that 1s fine. its the 1 on the left hand side of the car. cars loom has 5 pins while the engine harness has 8 pins. any have a clue what to do?
