Antenna is down and wont come up on my VC

Antenna is down and wont come up on my VC i can push it and it feels springy but i cant get it up is there a way to do it?

they have a spring loaded lockdown on them, you will see a little horizontal slot on the front of the mounting nut and that is were you unlock it from

He's right, unless you have the one with the slot in the top of the aerial. That's still poke a screwdriver in and lever it clear of the mounting nut. Only other choice is take the mounting nut off and check out how it works from under the nut. Better yet replace it with a fully auto aerial. Goes up when you turn radio on down when off. If you bend or bust the mast you can still get replacement mast and rope from Repco and Autobarn etc., and they are easy to re-fit for the broken one. That's if you buy a decent brand "maybe like Aerpro". Ok.
