speedomitor's stuck

only a small problame but a dissapointment when needed...

my speedomitor works, but it gets stuck at 99 k's ( if set to 0 it only counts to 99. )
nad my overall speedomitor is stuck at 370, dose not move at all

any ideas?

you mean your odometer?
your speedometer is the one that tells you how fast your going..

The small gears behind it which make it work stuff up. Just get another speedo unit with a working odometer and chuck that in. You just need to pull the instrument cluster out, then take the front plate off then you'll have access to the screws holding in the different gauges.

yeah mine doesnt work either, its stuck on 127,000 kms and the trip metre doesnt work aswell.
so how do i fix it? Do i have to pull the gauges out and replace the gears behind it?
I have a spare one but the speedometre doesnt work its stuck on 80kph lol.
and for the gears im not sure about that.

The gauge needs a clean on one of the smaller gear/s, becareful!

I have the same issue, though my speed stops at 60k i can make it move past 60k by pressing the button in and same forth when it comes back down under 60k.

I havent done the job yet.... but i would say dont rush it or rip the cluster out.

Just by a second hand cluster, or if possible just the speedo unit, as long as u know it works ok. Switch it with urs and it'll be sweet.

I got a VK one which I wound back to 0k's, just coz I'm rebuilding my motor and I wanna know how much it's done, but not sure if I'll be putting the VK dash in my VH yet.

ok thanks guys, ill try to find a second hand cluster if mine doesnt work after ive cleaned it.
or i will get a whole speedo unti, depends what i can buy.
