hey people,

i am looking at a little rear end upgrade on m VH....

i was wondering if it would be worth buying the gearbox, tailshaft and complete rear axle from an ED XR8, for $400....

or just buy a rear diff out of a vl, and put 3.9:1 in it, for $100.....

i know its a big difference, but just trying to figure out if its worth it.....

would the XR8 diff centre fit into a vl diff housing?

I dont think the gearbox would fit, i think the input shaft would be too long.

Diff wise, it would have a borgwarner 28spline hemisphere so you could build up a diff using the centre, just you will need a pair of axels and the standard VL 25 spline axels wont fit. You would need to source a pair of VL Turbo for VL V8 axels.
