    Parts wise

    Sufficient Wire
    Terminals for the wire
    Relay
Thermo switch that you insert into the radiator hose.
    Fan & mounting hardware

When I had my fan on my VK I wired it up with a switch on the dash, on when the engine was hot (regardless if the ignition was on) & on only when the ignition was on.

    cheers
    Scott

When I eventually get mine, my smaller fan will be wired so it turns on with the air con and the larger fan will be switched by a electronic control module from Jaycar which the fan only switches when the temperature is at a certain level.

You don't need much. Just two relays for twins, wiring, connectors and a thermo control module from Jaycar (as a electronic kit) or a temperature switch which switches at say 90 degrees or whatever.
