HdT VH SS VIN location

Hi I have a vH SS but cant seem to find the VIN number stamped anywhere. The compliance plate is supposed to be on the strut but its not there. Can anybody help me locate the number as i need to get the car registered.

from memory they are on the firewall up the top on the left hand side i think or is it right hand side?

are you talking the vin chassis number stamped on the body or the actual compliance plate itself? the vin number stamped on the body is usually on the passenger strut tower or on the radiator support panel in my case as for the compliance plate its gotta be there somewhere

My VB had a body number under the LH headlight on a long skinny tag. May be worth a look.
