Just wondering about getting brighter bulbs for my VK's headlights.
Repco have a range of lights, some of which are more watts than whats in the car already (what what!)
Anyone know how bright a bulb I can use in the car without putting too much strain on the wires?
Cheers

not sure bout that but do you want to go brighter because ur lights seem dull??
its usually the actual headlight reflection plate inside the light which is dull from being old that is the problem... get new/aftermarket lights and you notice a big difference... i did on my vl and it was like my new low beam was my old high beam
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
This gives you all the info:
WOW bright VK headlights
Upgrade your bulbs to higher wattage ones and expect to be buying new light switches often unless you add relays.
if you haven't added a fused relay's for the lights i would highly recommend it. i would also recommend fitting a relay for the starter solenoid to protect your ignition switch also. as for brighter lights i'd try narva +50's (i have them fitted on all my cars) there the same wattage but they say 50% more light at a greater distance from memory

just ad fused relays and it will be all good
this is with stocko bulbs
do the same with the tailights if your anal about bright lights
and dont forget some new earths mate
