My front pads are worn and the disc rotors are machined to the max. I need to replace them, but I thought now would be a good idea to go up from the 270mm disc set up to the 290mm set up (as in the VL Turbo/V8, or VR-VS models). I know this question probably come up before, but I need someone to refresh my memory to whats required.(Obviously new rotors and calipers). To put everyone in the picture my Vk already has 15" rims, rear disc brakes and a 1" master cylinder with heavy duty booster. Thanks in anticipation.
The VR-VS rotors will bolt right up, so will the calipers. You shouldn't need anything else mate, and having the 1" master cylinder is a bonus.
I run the same setup one mine, noticable difference too.
Unfortunately the VR-VS use separate hubs and disks, I think you mean VL Turbo, VN-VP V8 or S2 VP V6 fronts. Though the VR-VS calipers will bolt on.
Ah my mistake, my rotors came from a VN V8.
If you can afford the difference in price go the VT Twin spot calipers heaps better stopping over theVL Turbo/V8 /VR/VS Calipers. Of course you will need the different rotors but it is worth it.
Else if you cant afford it go the VL Turbo Rotors, your standard brake lines will bolt up to the VL Turbo/V8 or VR/VS calipers.
cheers
Scott
