    Default Engine cutting out!

Last night while driving home, a couple of times when I turned right the bloody engine died. Then came back to life. This morning same deal except twice I had to restart the engine. Was low on fuel last night but now have half a tank and is still persisting. Only happening when turning right. Its a VHSLE 308 3 speed trimatic. Any ideas would be much appreciated, I'm baffled.

I think the fuel thing could be a coincidence, when you start it up after it dies does it start straight away or does it seem like fuel is getting pumped up to the carb ie taking longer to start?

Im thinking along the lines of a possible dizzy problem, I have seen a couple of 202s have problems going around LH corners at certain RPM ranges. One ended up being a damaged nylon gear and the other a worn bearing in the dizzy.

    cheers

The needle and seat in the carby could be sticking and not letting enough fuel into the bowl. When turning right the fuel moves away from the pick up and the car dies cos there is no fuel going into the engine. The fact that you were almost empty probably caused because you may have picked up a bit of crap in your tank and that is maybe blocking or sticking the needle and seat. Or even blocking your fuel filter.
