you cna get mags machined to pit your size hubs but i thought the early holdens also had a different PCD as well

From HQ on all the stud patterns were the same and the centre hole was the same. The offset changed with the VB Commodore so if you put say HZ rims on a VB they would stick out past the guards. And vise versa the rims would hit the ball joints on the HZ. I would say they are off a ford. Measure from stud to stud across the rim and then do the same on your car to see if they match.

Try cleaning up your stub axels prior to fitting them. Simmons are a tight fit in the centre. If the studs line up they should fit.

Also if they are off a H series holden the offset will be wrong and they would require a new centre & outter rim to work on your car. Cost wise it would be better to sell them and buy ones that will fit correctly.

    cheers

If the offset & stud pattern are correct, get a set of vernier calipers and measure the stub axel and where the stub axel goes into the rim (centre part). If its about 1mm of interference you should be able to use the wheel nuts to tighten the wheel onto the stub axel. My simmons are very tight fitting.
If its a bit more you can take the rims to an engineering shop and have the centre machined slightly to fit.

Dont get rid of the simmons they are not cheap rims around $500 each rim New.

    cheers

sorry mate wrong. hq-wb is diferent pcd diferent offset and also different hub inside dia. do not fit q-b rims to any commie!!! or vice versa! it is not safe as the pcd is wrong. you will brake wheel studs and also possibly kill youself or someone else..........

it can be done with spacers. but without em it is not SAFE. heaps of iddiots do it but ya cant stop em. pcd is the stud pattern. its the diameter of the circle of studs. if ya know what i mean.

simple thing dont put commie rims on HQ-WB they do not fit.
