    Default Slow idle screw.

    Hi all

    I'm helping a mate build his 202, but he happen to take his carby apart.. now would anybody know the offical settting for the slow idle turns for an auto? not mixture screw .

    I don't really wanna to fiddle with mine again to find out

    You are talking about the idle adjuster screw? Every car is different. If you have a tacho it should idle about 900rpm and drop to around 750 in gear. If the auto slams into gear at 900 drop it down to 800. Without a tacho its just a matter of getting right by ear. When it is warm, set it so it doesn't stall when you put it in gear.

    something like 3 or 6 turns springs to mind but it's been a few years since i've owned a carbied 202. i'd go for 3 full turns first
