Default VK 202 mildly worked, not starting.

    Hi,

I replaced all the gaskets in my 202 and put it back in the car with mostly the parts that where in it before changing the gaskets, the only thing that was changed was the stage 2 crow cam was put in and it had a new starter motor put on it.

Trying to get it start and it just wont start, so i checked the spark and there wasnt any so i checed the plugs, i change them. Then i check the Dist was set properly, which it is. I am pretty much out of things to check as i built the motor and have been working on it for a long time, so i pretty much know what this motor does, but this has got me buggered. When the motor was first rebuilt it had the same kind of problem and all it was, was the dist was in the wrong position. But that isnt the problem this time. The only thing i havent check is the Coil, which i will be checking tomorrow. what is the best way to check it?

It has ACL flat top pistons and racing bearings and everything has been done properly.

    Any help will be good.

does the VK have EST. check the ditributor timing against thecam timing etc, it could be 180degrees out. test the coil with a multi meter, the primary side should be some where around 1.2-1.5ohms from memory and the secondary between 4-6 K ohms

VK - Electronic dizzy??? I would say cam timing. But if you have no spark have you connected all the wiring? Mainly from the coil to the dizzy.

Ok. problem has been fixed...the problem was & and nobody worked it out on here..lol...

It was the crank angle sensor, when it was put in the sensor locator pin wasnt in the right lace and it fell down on to the flywheel which smashed it.. my own stupid fault. people learn from my mistake as it can cost you a heap of money to fix it, i got one from the wreacker for $80 but they can cost up to about $360 brand new

    Thanks for your help guys

Since we couldn't actually see the car, you didn't expect any of us to be right did you? But I was closer saying it was electrical and I mentioned the dizzy.
