How do I go about pulling this out.... I read somewhere that there are some release clips and a nut at the rear of the unit which you get to by pulling the ashtray out....... Now I have tried looking for this nut and there is noway my hand can fit behind the unit. I also see no release visible release clips as the ashtray moulding goes almost all the way to the rear of the unit......
How do I get this sucker out?
if you take the ashtray out im pretty sure theres a little hole in the top of the moulding to fit a small screwdriver into. dont quote me on this as though
There is a bracket screwed with 2 self tappers under the centre vent piping, you need to remove the top part of the dash, inc cluster etc to access the screws.
have fun its not the most plesant job.

Took me 3 hours to remove the radio and it wasnt the bracket that caused the problem. One of the lock in spring latches were broken. There is no screw in the bottom.

I know this a bit after time, but what's wrong with the top section of car aerials. They are usually the right size and they have a knob on the end. I mean lump of metal, not lump or knob of person OK.
There's bound to be someone.
