Sounds like a fuel issue, surging like that. Check the idle jets in the carby, spray some carby cleaner down the throat while its running, or you may have to give it a bit of a blow with compressed air. If the air is used, don't have your face over the carby as fuel will spray out when you blow in the jets.

Do you mean it has flat spots like the car isn't going flat out without interruption? If that's the case then it's a fuel problem. Check the fuel flow at the fuel hose on the carb. Should run through about 6 PSI I think. Make sure the fuel filter isn't clogged, check the fuel pump operation etc.

Well she wasnt flooding, i opened up the carby and nothing sus all normal.

I replaced the sparkplugs which helped heaps, 1 year old the old ones... 6 months old is old enough? i put fuel cleaner in the tank. < - so my power issue is solved now...

Hardy an engine part has eevr been replaced in my baby, and ive noticed she got really hot today, sticking in the middle! though over 80k the thermostat would open and she would cool down abit but not enough.. possible be the water pump start to cut out ?

I checked the therostat ages ago and she opens past 80k so it must work?

are there any vaccum lines that use the tempture wise? the 3 nipples on top of my thermohousing have no lines... but its been like it for quite sometime now..

Fuel vaporisation. Used to happen a lot on carby cars on hot days. A CAI of some sort will stop that.
