rear seat

hey guys how do i remove the back part of the rear seat out of a calais with the head rests ... its like the things the head rest push into are screwed into somewhere and when i tried unscrewing them they didnt unscrew

any help ?

there should be 2 little tabs, one on each side of the seat right down the bottom. fold the little metal tabs up and then pull the seat forward toward the back of the front seats so the hooks come over the tabs, then push the seat towards the roof and it will come off the hooks near the parcel shelf and its out

Tried this it didnt work
it seems like the tubes that the head rests go into are some how attached
any other ideas ?

is it a sedan or wagon. what i posted above is for a sedan.. wagons are different i wouldnt have a clue how to get wagon rear seats out

The rear headrest retainers, i think you turn it one way and it will pull out. Hmmm will investigate this further.
