mounting external fuel pump

gday all just wondering if anyone has mounted an external fuel pump in their vk. i have swapped my fuel tank over to a vl one and need to mount the vl external fuel pump. cheers

VK EFIs had an electric fuel pump mounted infront of the fuel tank on the drivers side, the EFI VK & VL and I also think series 1 VL as well. Use the same brackets so you can just get the entire bracket of a EFI VK, VL or VN and just bolt it up your VK will have the captive nuts to bult up to.

I think he means the nuts are built into the body. They will need a cleanout as they will be full of dirt / crap etc.

Make sure you get the correct fuel pump. The fuel pump for the carby models runs a lot lower pressure than the EFI one.

The fuel pump on the carbie 202 models is a mecanical fuel pump, the EFI VK, 6cyl VL, VN etc run an external electric pump infront of the fuel tank on the drivers side.
