Whoops, VH LPG issues should be, not LH.
I have a VH 253 on gas, however lately it seems to be playing up. It'd start fine on gas, however when the car is turned off, it won't crank over on gas - you can hear the gas solenoid turn on when the ignition starts, however as soon as the engine cranks the gas solenoid shuts off therefore causing the car not to start on gas..flicking it over to petrol however the car starts fine.
My mate reckons it could either be a bad earth or a heat problem, bad earth I don't think so as it seems pretty sturdy, and if its a heat problem it never used to do this, only recently.
The tank was put in at 2005 so it isn't that old.
Any idea why?
it mite be the electronic safety switch it turns the gas solenoid off if there is know ignition. this is easy to check but dangerous

if your running a tachomertic relay you should have the following:
1 input from where the tacho signal is generated from (Coil -ve?) to the lock off
2 an earth for the lock off
3 wire to energise the solenoids
4 a wire from a switched ignition source via a fuse
get the test light out and have a look, I sussed mine out easy enough however if you arent that confident playing with LPG and dotn know what youre doing take it somewhere as LPG mishaps are nasty.
if your in melbourne
pm me and I'd be willing to try and look at it for you.
Simple, dont screw around with gas, get it checked out by a pro.
I've recently had the life scared outa me with someone tampering with their LPG system.

These are the pale deaths that men miscall their lives
All this i cannot bear to witness any longer
