    Default vk efi computer is the computer just for motor

    hey there everyone im wanting to put a efi 202 in my lj torana and was just wondering does the computer and the loom only power the motor or do i have to rewire the whole car?? and put in the torana loom what do i do

    the 202 EFI computer is only for the motor, just controls the fuel injectors and not the dizzy.

    also they are not tune able as they are a complete analouge computer

    so in that case if i was to put it in a lj torana i just put the motor in with the loom atached what would have to go to the ignition and other places

    Have a look at my site I have wiring diagrams for the EFI 202
    Basically you need some wiring out of the VK fuse box and the engine wiring, run a VH or EFI VK electronic dizzy, you will need the VK air flow meter if your running the VK computer.
    The computer wiring will need power & ignition wires wired intot he LJ wiring along with the earth. If you pick appart your loom you can run your normal coolant temp sensor, oil pressure sender & alternator wiring. You will need to run wiring to your electric fuel pump at the rear of the car as well.

    thanks do you think you could write a list of what the computer runs do they have a crank angle sensor or does it only run the injectors air flow meter are the dizzys the same as a carby 202? just really what i need cheers im confused

    Ok

    VK EFI is Bocsh Jettronic analog fuel injection system.

    It uses
    Airflow Meter
    Coolant Temp Sensor
    Throttle position switch
    Air temp sensor

    Basically it controls the injectors and thats it but its a little more complicated, to do this to get the right pulse itgets readings from the above plus uses ported vacumn switches for EGR, Cold start, air temp, coolant temp. This changes how rich or lean it runs when the engine is cold to hot, controls vacumn advance on the dizzy depending on coolant temp etc.

    Your best bet its to use the Injection manifold, fuel rail injectors, fuel pressure reg, throttle body & extractors and bin the rest of it as its crap. Setup either a Haltec E6X with 3 coil packs running MAP & CAS or a Delco computer setup like some of the camiras with MAP, O2, TPS, coil packs with CAS or single coil & Halleffect dizzy.
