vl dash into vk

let me tell u a very difficult mod i thought about this a while ago and a lot of things work differently as the cars are very different motor wise. would be an easy mod if you have an rb30 in your car

sorry i should have been more clear im putting the rb30 in so i dont need to know how to do the electrical conversion but just how to mount the dash thanks

Ok thats cool i guy at my work just put everything from a manual vl into a vk but he put the WHOLE dash in made it look very neat. It your just putting in the cluster be aware where the dash extends to where the touch pads are you'll need to fill that with something else maybe a dvd screen or something. Other than that it will be pretty forward.
Just a note if your thinking of doing the whole dash the mounting brackets are different spot welds will need to be removed and brackets swapped over and rewelded

ive removed the bracket thats spot welded and welded it onto the vk wondering if thats all?

Look mate i never saw it being done but from what he said to me that was pretty much the only hassle he had, hope that helps. His car is basically a vl with a vk body. The nice grey interior actually looks almost stock in the vk.
