VC SL Commodore what's it worth?

My daughter has had this VC for around 10 years, she bought a new Mazda 3 about a year ago, she should of probably traded the VC in but kept it.
She has offered it to me as a second car run around rather than me leaving the SS in places I would rather not, problem is not sure what to offer her for it, probably just leave it in her name save the hassle of a RWC, it is a 202 auto, power steering, air (doesn't work), runs well, good brakes etc. has had a new rack, shockers, radiator, tyres etc in the past couple of years. a bit of minor rust in the lower panel behind the rear wheel, and a bit in the boot area, not obvious and I treated it maybe a year back and it seems to be holding. She is the second owner. What do you think would be a fair offer?

depends ive seen them anywhere from $300 to $2500 so with what you say is done maybe $600 to $1000

Still trying to make up my mind whether to spend a few hundred on the old girl and spruce it up a bit or just get rid of it, do you think it is a waste of money spending dollars on a car that is only worth $500 to $1000 to start with? Pretty reliable old bus, looks clean and tidy done 227,000km original motor, trans, diff etc. It is a pity it is not a V8 SLE or similiar. Sort of sitting on the fence at the moment, she has offered it to me for $500.
Bit unsure which way to go.

give her the $500 and just spend the money to keep it running well after all it is only a second car good for parking places that you dont like leaving the ss parked just my opinion though it all comes down to weather you want it or not

Well its your daughter she should give it to you for all the money you spent on her bringing her up lol
